1. New gameplay modes
Competitive mode
Looking for an experience that focuses more on user contributions than the ball player and team ratings? In the competitive mode, the user's arm control skills are put to the test, as you take the lead above all else.
simulation mode
Would you prefer a style that more realistically looks like the actual football clubs or players' real-life gadgets? Simulation mode delivers a true MLB experience, balancing stick skills with player and team attributes.
Simple mode
And if all you want to do is take a step, catch the ball, get a turn and hit the hitters, the simple mode provides an easier experience with more long throw points, and focus on learning baseball.
2. Cross platforms
For the first time in the series' history, MLB The Show 21 is cross-platform, which means players can compete online across PS5, PS4, and other consoles on which MLB The Show 21 is available.
3. “Stadium Builder”*
A new addition to MLB The Show 21 is a long-awaited feature for fans: the Stadium Builder. With over 1,000 unique parts to choose from, take complete control and build the stadium of your dreams, whether you're recreating a classic ball court from the past or designing something innovative and totally exotic.
The Stadium Builder has the tools to fine-tune just about anything you can imagine: exterior wall height and dimensions, stadium boundary pole position, stadium backgrounds and more. You can coordinate landmarks and architecture to create a breathtaking stadium environment or even experience fantasy elements from other worlds such as placing UFOs in the stadium sky.
4. Dual players and player gear
Show your throwing and hitting skills, as a double threat baller. Dual players allow you to take a role as a bowler, hit the ball and play on the field as a regular player in the squad.
- You can also now customize your player attributes between games to achieve specific positional objectives using player gear:
- Rank your contact gear in order of importance to improve your chances of using the ball for a goal kick.
- Take advantage of all power-up features to increase your ability to strike a score hit for several days.
- Boost your speed gear to run hard across the field and steal bases to beat your opponent.
Or if the goal is to make your player a powerful, all-in-one player with five gear like MLB The Show 21 cover star Fernando Tatis Jr., simply balance your gear strategically across all classes.
5. New Legends
The Legend rosters are back with a new batch of Major League icons like Jackie Robinson and Mickey Mantle. Among the all-time greats available is Ken Griffey Jr., allowing you to build your roster of generational talent throughout baseball's history.

It's now easier than ever to build your super team in Diamond Dynasty's revamped and streamlined MLB The Show 21 with a more user-friendly and accessible interface that both new and veteran players of the series will enjoy.
